Simul are humans who have some parts of mythological beings and beast grafted on their bodies.
Huaniu was a mail order bride whose intended husband discarded her when he found out she was older than what he expected. Now pregnant but still mistreated and abandoned by her husband, she found solace and love among her handmaidens who worship and introduced her to the butterfly goddess Itzpapalotl along with their culture.
One day she found out how her husband preys on children from the village and tried to stop him but he got the best of her. Barely alive her handmaidens prayed to Itzpapalotl to save her and her child but she could only save her and gave her a piece of her heart which turned her into a goddess' vessel.
She lived on to become an urban legend and a protector of children. Until she encountered Beliy, joined the Pomme troupe and became a mother figure to her.
